Retail Times: What is the current demand scenario of luxury fans in India? 

Tarun Lala :The demand for designer fans has only been growing over the years as these fans offer efficiency, aesthetics and convenience. Hence the market keeps expanding too.

Retail Times:What is the profile of customers buying or spending on luxury items?

Tarun Lala : HNIs and UHNIs are currently spending on luxury items including those with new money.

Retail Times: How is the sales different from first covid wave summer sales? 

Tarun Lala :The sales are very similar. People are investing in their homes. The top 2% never stopped and now 75% of the new home buyers are first time home buyers, so they are investing too.

Retail Times: What are the current sales of the fans in the market?

Tarun Lala : Currently luxury fans are surely selling more than before. With people spending time at home, they have had the awareness and are making the effort to fix or upgrade everything they have needed to in their homes. So,people are ready to invest on all appliances, furniture and everything in their homes. Plus, since they are saving spends on nightlife and travel, they have more money to invest at home.

RRetail Times:Which products of yours are moving faster? Why?

Tarun Lala : All our products are fast moving. We are sold out on 30% of the models and are prebooked on a lot of them. We are also launching newer models.

RT: Have you innovated in any way from the first wave of the pandemic’ to improve your sales? If yes, how?

Tarun Lala : We have integrated C-Commerce and are selling a lot on Whatsapp. We have also focused a lot on expanding retail footprint via franchise as a lot of luxury retailers are open to diversification.

Retail Times: Tell us about the new Fanzart showrooms coming up across different cities in India. 

Tarun Lala : We have new Fanzart showrooms coming up in Baroda, Tirupati, Bhimavaram, Ananthpur, Siliguri&Hubli. There are also newer showrooms coming up in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi
