Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) was recently awarded the Top Exporter Award for the year 2015-16, at the 48th Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC) National Award for Engineering Export Excellence. The company was honored as “Star Performers under Product Group-Automobile Component” for its outstanding contribution towards exports.
Mr. C K Srikantha, Deputy General Manager (Indirect Taxation and Impex) – Toyota Kirloskar Motor received the award from Mr. P. Benjamin, Honorable Minister of Rural Industries & MSME (Government of Tamil Nadu) at an award ceremony held in Chennai. Toyota carries the distinction of bagging the Export Excellence award (by EEPC) for 10 years at the Southern Region level, and 7 years at the National level, reiterating its contribution to the Indian economy, by exporting globally competitive and best in class auto parts & vehicles.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor, which has its world-class manufacturing plant in Bidadi in Bangalore Rural Karnataka, exports Completely Built Units (CBUs) like The Etios & Etios Liva and Auto Parts to Thailand, Brazil, Indonesia, Philippines, Brunei, Japan, Argentina, Vietnam, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Belgium and South Africa.
