~ Timex and The New Yorker Mark a Century of Influence with a Signature Timepiece ~
National, February 21, 2025: Timex, the iconic American watch brand, is commemorating the hundredth anniversary in 2025 of The New Yorker honoring a legacy of influential reporting, criticism, humor, and fiction. To celebrate this milestone, Timex has partnered with The New Yorker to create a numbered limited edition of 1,854 signature timepieces that capture the style and wit of this beloved cultural institution.
The Timex | The New Yorker is a modern-day reissue of our iconic ’60s Marlin hand-wound watch, presented in a beautifully rounded 34mm case. This limited-edition watch captures the style and wit of The New Yorker with an illustration by Ace Artist and Illustrator at The New Yorker Christoph Niemann.
It’s offered as a limited-edition gift set with both a leather strap and a fabric strap, providing the versatility of two styles in one. The striking black-and-white watch face showcases a white dial, as well as art inspired by the magazine’s famed Goings On section, created by Christoph Niemann, a prominent illustrator whose work has appeared in The New Yorker since 1998.
Complementing the dial artwork is a customized bagel second hand that playfully nods at New York City’s culinary heritage, while the brushed and polished case back features the watch’s edition number and the magazine’s centennial anniversary logo, both engraved in crisp detail.
