Kolkata, February 03, 2018: Coca-Cola India had launched ‘Thums Up Charged’ as a line extension of Thums Up in India to extend the franchise of the brand and it’s already turned into most loved Cola of India, said T. Krishnakumar, president, Coca-Cola India and Southwest Asia here today.

Whereas, Coca-Cola have some healthy variants outside of India because out and out pressure for years as if these are unhealthy. But in India they haven’t introduced such variants whereas launched a product contains extra levels of caffeine only for the customers are demanding the same, added Krishnakumar.

No doubt that a new product in the line-up gives end user a variety to pick up as per choice and at the same time it also reduce the other contenders’ stake at market. In many cases instances are there that a line extension badly damages the core franchisee. In the context, Coca-Cola acquired Thums Up in 1993 and it remains segment leader through all the years. With the time ‘Thums Up’ started it’s journey from India to entire south Asia.
